What is the Cali Yard?
The Cali Yard is a free, outdoor calisthenics park created by CaliUnity CIC and Calibath.
It’s a space where anyone can move, train, connect, or simply hang out — without needing a gym membership or expensive equipment.
How it works

FAQs
-
The Cali Yard is a free, outdoor calisthenics park created to make movement accessible to everyone in Bath.
It’s a shared community space — designed for bodyweight training, connection, and simple movement, without the pressure or intimidation of a traditional gym.
-
The Yard is for anyone who wants to move.
That includes:
Beginners and people getting back into movement
Teens and young people
Older adults
People who don’t enjoy traditional gyms
Anyone who just wants to train outside
You don’t need experience, confidence, or a plan — just show up.
-
Yes.
The Yard is free to use. Always.
It exists because CaliUnity reinvests its surplus into Calibath, and because the community looks after it.
-
Booking helps us:
Manage numbers
Keep the space safe and welcoming
Ensure fair access for everyone
It also allows us to activate your access code during your booked time.
There’s no cost — it’s simply how we protect the space.
-
Access is simple:
Fill out the short form (including safety video and waiver)
Receive your personal access code
Download the CaliUnity app and create your account
Book a Yard slot — your code activates during that time
You’ll receive email confirmation so you know everything’s set.
-
Not at all.
You can train:
On your own
With friends
Alongside others
Some people follow their own routines.
Some just move.
Some ask questions. There’s no expectation — just space to move.
-
No — and that’s intentional.
The Yard isn’t policed. It’s respected.
This space works because people treat it, and each other, with care.
-
The Yard includes:
Pull-up bars
Rings
Parallettes and boxes
Open space for bodyweight movement
Everything is designed to be versatile and accessible.
-
Yes — as long as everyone has completed the waiver and booked a slot.
This helps keep things fair and safe for everyone using the space.
-
Some people use the Yard forever.
Some people want more structure. If you ever want coaching, classes, or accountability, CaliUnity is there — but there’s no pressure and no expectation.
-
The Yard exists because people look after it.
If behaviour threatens that, access can be removed — not to punish, but to protect the community.
-
Because bodyweight training is:
Accessible
Scalable
Joint-friendly
Equipment-light
Something you can take anywhere
You don’t need a gym to get strong — and the Yard proves that.
-
The Yard is part of Calibath, the charitable arm of CaliUnity CIC.
It’s funded through reinvestment, community support, and partnerships — not profit extraction.
